The animation can be ignored for the time being because, after some adaptation, it becomes tolerable at times. The main issue with Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is its plot, which once more recycles themes from previous arcs in an effort to imitate them crudely and fall flat.
It is challenging to discuss the specific issues that let me down without straying into spoiler territory. One could simply state that it is unfortunate that Toriyama must recycle well-known villains when the heroes get absurdly stronger in each subsequent story. Was this the best idea Toriyama and his group could muster?
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero might be entertaining, though, if you can just unwind a little more than I did, if you can get past the silly humour, the absurd new transformations, the shoddy CGI, and the fact that Shenron is already the archetypal Deus Ex Machina by this point.
