A guy wakes up in a hotel room in the midst of a fatal epidemic in which a DMZ virus, called after the Demilitarized Zone between North and South Korea, infects individuals, making them hostile and bloodthirsty. He has forgotten his name, but the button implanted in his ear, through which a voice communicates with him, begs him to hurry. A special team is on its way to him because this individual, eventually identified as “Carter,” has ties to the sole doctor who can halt the infection. But he’s been missing for days, as has the prime suspect, who was first unidentified.
The enormous mission is assigned to him when he escapes with the help of the lady in his ear. Carter has to find the doctor’s daughter, who looks to be resistant to the illness. Dad can only use her blood to create a vaccine that will save the planet. But because Carter has no idea where the girl is or why he continues running into armies of spies, opponents, and aggressive men, things become a bit more difficult.
